Happy New Year!
2016 is here upon us, and I hope it greets you all well.
Believe it or not, but it’s time for some ScrapMuch? Sketch-y Friday Team A inspiration. I actually have some scrapping plans this weekend. I figured I’d use these last few days of holiday staycation to work on some of my projects from the Teresa Collins Vegas event that I didn’t get to complete on site. Speaking of holidays, since it’s so close to Christmas, I allowed myself one last Christmas themed layout to share for this holiday season.
Christmas photos for me are so rare lately that I had to dig deep and pull out some pictures from a few years ago. Ok, ok, so it is close to 8 years ago, but who’s counting?! Santa even gifted me an awesome point and shoot, and I tried to do a photo a day for December. I think I managed to make it to the 5th….
So here is what I created for this week’s reveal:
All the paper is from Simple Stories and the Cardstock is Bazzill. The ribbon is from my stash, and the die cut borders and title were from my Silhouette. I also glammed up the title with some Wink of Stella clear marker over top – and a little brown Wink of Stella on the tree trunk too. The bling atop the tree and the 25 wooden element are Tim Holtz. You may notice some shadows on my layout. I took it outside in the warm December sun (!!!!!!) – seriously!
And here is the sketch we had to work with:

See you in 2 weeks with my next reveal!
Ok. You’re seriously not going to believe this – but this is my last reveal for this year for ScrapMuch? Sketch-y Friday. I’ll be back in the new year, but this is the last one scheduled for Team A.
For this week’s layout I used more of the Simple Stories We Are…Family collection. This is actually a collection I totally loved in the store, then got it home and had no idea what on earth to do with it. I’ve actually *forced* myself to use it for 2 reveal layouts and I love the finished product for both of them. I’ve also made a concerted effort to use all the stickers and goodies in the collection packs instead of “saving them for the perfect layout”.
So here is what I came up with this week:
All products Simple Stories except cardstock from stash, and twine from American Crafts.
Here is our inspiration sketch that we had to work with:
So now it’s your turn. I hope you get some crafty time before the end of the month so you can link up your creations for a chance to win an awesome ScrapMuch? prize. Hop on over to the ScrapMuch? blog for some more Team A inspiration.
Wishing you and yours a very Merry Christmas and the happiest of New Year’s!
Hello everyone and Happy Friday!
It’s once again time for Team A’s Sketch-y Friday reveal over on the ScrapMuch? blog.
This week I’m featuring the Simple Stories Pumpkin Spice line again. I just love this collection! Ironically it’s also the manufacturer spotlight over at ScrapMuch? and Laura has created a ton of amazing pages and projects with this line. I swear I did this layout up before I found out it was the feature of the month. Clearly I have great taste in paper!
Anyone else love pumpkin everything in the fall as much as I do? It’s always bittersweet for me because I love pumpkin but I hate that it means it’s the end of summer.
So, with all that intro, here is what I created for this week’s reveal:
Pretty much everything for this layout was from the Pumpkin Spice line. I did use my Tim Holtz coffee cup stamp to ink up the base, fitting since it is a layout about coffee after all. I also used a piece of cork from a DCWV paper pad to add more texture, as well as some patterned lines to go with the dots and florals. I cut the title with my Silhouette. I glammed up the chipboard pumpkin with my clear Wink of Stella marker. The twine for the bow is American Crafts.

Here is a run down of our Sketch-y Friday rules. Just link up your creations in our sidebar to be entered into a random draw for our monthly prize. You have until November 29th, at midnight to participate in any of this month’s sketch challenges, each linkup tool will remain open until that date! You may take some artistic license with your adaptation of the sketches, however if you choose to use a double page sketch for a single page layout you may only enter once per sketch, not once per side.
If you are playing along with more than one challenge you will need to link each of them up via a separate blog post for the link up tool to work. (International participants may be required to pay some shipping fees.) Good luck, we cannot wait to see what you create!
I’m in denial that this weekend it’s November already.
I’m in denial that the clocks go back Saturday night.
I’m in denial watching the thermometer dip day by day.
So with the new month beginning on Sunday, it’s time for another Team A ScrapMuch? Sketch-y Friday reveal. In keeping with usual tradition, the first layout of the month is a double pager. I’m happy to share my layout featuring my Vegas Wolfpack! These ladies are awesome. We come from all walks of life, from all over the US and I’m the lone Canadian. I’ve known one of these amazing ladies since 2007. We always have so much fun together, bound together in our common love of scrapbooking, and travel, and travel for scrapbooking. We may not be able to all get together next year and that makes me very sad.
I used a mix of Teresa Collins, Simple Stories, Heidi Swapp and Amy Tangerine products on this layout. I loved going with the black, white, and gold palette. I even added in some chipboard pieces that I put through the Minc (love that machine!) – the ampersand on the big camera embellie, and the “good times” on the photo.

Hello and Happy Friday!
It’s time for another ScrapMuch? Sketch-y Friday Team A reveal! This week I opted to keep with the fall theme using the new super fab Simple Stories Pumpkin Spice line. My photos are from this year’s visit to the Bellagio Botanical Gardens. This year’s display did not disappoint. So without further adieu, here is my creation for this week:
//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.jsI added some quilt style stitching because fall makes me think of keeping cozy. I also had a lot of fun playing with the many pieces in the collection. I actually have a few detail shots because there are some fun elements in the embellishments. I have become hooked on the amazing Wink of Stella markers, and there are 2 spots where I got to add their flair!
//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.jsJust that perfect hint of glitter on the lettering and on the tree trunk and branches. Here are some other detail shots. Lots of pop dotting and layering of embellishments on this layout.

Have a wonderful weekend everyone! I’ll be cropping with the ScrapMuch? gang for their annual ScrapPink fundraiser crop. I have a *lot* of projects to catch up on!
Hello and Happy Friday!
These last two weeks have been a crazy busy blur and here we are! It’s time for another ScrapMuch? Team A Sketch-y Friday reveal.
This week I took a lot of liberties with the sketch and I’m on the whole happy with how the layout turned out. That’s the beauty of sketches, they’re a guideline only and you can completely customize it to how you want.
So here is what I created this week:
I got to use the new Simple Stories We Are…Family line. As much as a lot of the colours in this line are great for fall photos, I feel like they totally work for this spring cherry blossom photo too. I also added in some chipboard elements for the Heidi Swapp Minc in the “Selfie” tag and the arrow on the happy card, foiled in rose gold foil. I am loving this new toy. We got to play with it at Ready…Set…Create and I wasn’t sure I’d use it much but I eventually caved in and I’m loving it. I took some stickers from the sticker pages in the kit and pop dotted them to add some dimension, did some faux stitching, and outlined EVERYTHING. Layle Koncar from Simple Stories is a “chronic outliner”, so it was only fitting to outline this layout on Simple Stories paper.
So here is the sketch we had to work with this week:
As you can see, I slightly rotated the sketch so I could use a photo and card wth a vertical orientation.
So now it’s your turn! Hop on over to the ScrapMuch? blog and see what the rest of Team A has created for your inspiration! Take a shot at your take on the sketch and share it with us by the end of the month for a chance to win an amazing ScrapMuch? prize! As always I can’t wait to see what you create!
Hello and happy Friday!
I hope everyone is having an amazing Summer! It is by far my favourite season. What can I say? I like it hot! So, I opted to make this week’s ScrapMuch? Sketch-y Friday layout about summer!
Here is what I came up with for this week:
I managed to combine a few years of Simple Stories summer releases for patterned paper and embellishments because they were a similar palette and feel. I used Jillibean Soup for the background page and the whimsical dots worked great with the whimsical hearts and polka dots in the Simple Stories paper. Add in some fun “hairy floss” from American Crafts and a paperclip from Freckled Fawn for some fun embellishing.
As usual, I stuck pretty true to the original sketch:
So now it’s your turn! Hop on over to the ScrapMuch? blog for some Team A inspiration. Create your own layout from this, or any of this month’s sketches, and link up with us for a chance to win an awesome ScrapMuch? prize! As always, I love to see what you create!
Have a wonderful weekend! I hope it’s sunny where you are!
