Hello October. Hello Fall.
Hello first Friday of the month, which means it’s time for ScrapMuch? Team A’s double page reveal for this month. So without further adieu, I do believe it’s time to share what I created this week (and it’s pretty stinkin cute if I do say so myself!).
This layout is of yes, my sweet girl Bella’s First Birthday celebration. The entire page uses the Bella Blvd Riley collection, as well as some Bella Blvd enamel dots. I also managed to sneak in a Heidi Swapp Minc chipboard embellishment that was gifted to me by a friend at this year’s Teresa Collins Vegas event because it just worked so purrfectly! I chose to outline the letters in the title just to help them pop off the page a bit better. I’m not so sure Bella was happy about this celebration, but I’m sure she’s long forgotten it. I wonder what her wish was…
Here is the sketch we had to work with this week:

Hello and Happy Friday!
These last two weeks have been a crazy busy blur and here we are! It’s time for another ScrapMuch? Team A Sketch-y Friday reveal.
This week I took a lot of liberties with the sketch and I’m on the whole happy with how the layout turned out. That’s the beauty of sketches, they’re a guideline only and you can completely customize it to how you want.
So here is what I created this week:
I got to use the new Simple Stories We Are…Family line. As much as a lot of the colours in this line are great for fall photos, I feel like they totally work for this spring cherry blossom photo too. I also added in some chipboard elements for the Heidi Swapp Minc in the “Selfie” tag and the arrow on the happy card, foiled in rose gold foil. I am loving this new toy. We got to play with it at Ready…Set…Create and I wasn’t sure I’d use it much but I eventually caved in and I’m loving it. I took some stickers from the sticker pages in the kit and pop dotted them to add some dimension, did some faux stitching, and outlined EVERYTHING. Layle Koncar from Simple Stories is a “chronic outliner”, so it was only fitting to outline this layout on Simple Stories paper.
So here is the sketch we had to work with this week:
As you can see, I slightly rotated the sketch so I could use a photo and card wth a vertical orientation.
So now it’s your turn! Hop on over to the ScrapMuch? blog and see what the rest of Team A has created for your inspiration! Take a shot at your take on the sketch and share it with us by the end of the month for a chance to win an amazing ScrapMuch? prize! As always I can’t wait to see what you create!
Hello and Happy September!
The official months of summer may be over, but I refuse to think it’s fall yet. I’m simply not ready to say goodbye to long sunny days, starry firefly nights, and soaking up as much natural Vitamin D as possible. I hate to admit this, but I spent more time working than I did making memories this summer. But, the quality of memories were top notch, and more than made up for the lack of quantity.
This week’s ScrapMuch? Sketch-y Friday reveal features a layout of photos from one of my summer highlights. I seriously rushed home from the event, printed photos on my Selphy and scrapbooked them just in time for the reveal upload deadline. I went to an amazing scrapbook event called Ready… Set… Create… in Burbank, CA in late August. It was an amazing weekend of scrapbooking, inspiration, learning, reconnecting with friends, and meeting amazing new friends. So. Much. Fun. Oh, and the late summer California sun didn’t hurt either.
So here is my layout:
Supplies used: CS – American Crafts; PP – October Afternoon; Embellies – Tim Holtz, Evalicious, Heidi Swapp Color Shine; Pens – American Crafts; Stamp – Dear Lizzy for American Crafts; Circle Tool – EK Success; Ink – Stash; Washi – Stash.
I have no idea why my camera kept picking up a woodgrain like finish on the cardstock. I used my circle cutter as a template to just draw the circle elements. I went for a little bit of outlining just to help pull the drawing element through the page. I also tried to keep with the event theme colours in the papers so there’s teal in the floral patterned paper, some black cardstock to anchor everything, and a polkadotted washi because my group name was the Polka Dots. So fun!

Hello and Happy Friday! It’s mid-August already, and it’s once again time for a ScrapMuch? Team A Sketch-y Friday reveal!
I really liked the sketch we had to work with this week. I liked it so much I have an extra post to show you another take on the super fun sketch! So here is my reveal for this week:
The patterned paper and flair are from Lawn Fawn. The mist is Heidi Swapp Color Shine. The cardstock is Bazzill Basics. The sequins are Teresa Collins. The washi tape is from Bella Blvd. The little button is American Crafts. The fun puffy tag sticker is from Evalicious. And the ink is of course Tim Holtz Distress.
I found myself reminiscing about my favourite place on earth and thought it was a good idea to scrapbook some happy memories from there. I thought this paper from Lawn Fawn was perfect to help me capture some super happy fun in the sun memories!

You have until August 29th, at midnight to participate in any of this month’s sketch challenges, each linkup tool will remain open until that date! You may take some artistic license with your adaptation of the sketches, however if you choose to use a double page sketch for a single page layout you may only enter once per sketch, not once per side.
If you are playing along with more than one challenge you will need to link each of them up via a separate blog post for the link up tool to work. (International participants may be required to pay some shipping fees.) Good luck, we cannot wait to see what you create!
Hello and happy Friday!
I hope everyone is having an amazing Summer! It is by far my favourite season. What can I say? I like it hot! So, I opted to make this week’s ScrapMuch? Sketch-y Friday layout about summer!
Here is what I came up with for this week:
I managed to combine a few years of Simple Stories summer releases for patterned paper and embellishments because they were a similar palette and feel. I used Jillibean Soup for the background page and the whimsical dots worked great with the whimsical hearts and polka dots in the Simple Stories paper. Add in some fun “hairy floss” from American Crafts and a paperclip from Freckled Fawn for some fun embellishing.
As usual, I stuck pretty true to the original sketch:
So now it’s your turn! Hop on over to the ScrapMuch? blog for some Team A inspiration. Create your own layout from this, or any of this month’s sketches, and link up with us for a chance to win an awesome ScrapMuch? prize! As always, I love to see what you create!
Have a wonderful weekend! I hope it’s sunny where you are!
Hey everyone! Happy July!!
It’s the first Friday of the month, which can only mean one thing… ScrapMuch? Team A is up with their double page layout reveal!
Summer is all about vacations, so I went with a vacation theme for this sketch. Here is my layout for this week:
I opted to dig in to my uber amazing Jillibean Soup Sightseeing Stew pack for the patterned paper, tags, and most of the embellishments. I added in a fun Maya Road airplane clip, some fun Evalicious puffy stickers, and a Studio Calico flair piece. Of course all that brightness needed a gentle kraft paper as a background. I also took this opportunity to scrapbook some of the many pics I take out the airplane window. I’m a window seat girl. I love to watch the world! The destinations featured in this layout are Arizona, Las Vegas and Cancun (aren’t those turquoises just stunning?!)
And here is the sketch we had to work with:
I kept pretty true to the sketch, aside from cutting apart the baggage tag page and using those as a ledge for the photos.
So now it’s your turn! Hop on over to the ScrapMuch? blog to see what the rest of the team has been up to this week! I’d love for you to make your own layout to this sketch and share it with us for a chance to win an amazing ScrapMuch? prize!
Have a great sunny weekend everyone!
Hello and Happy Friday!
It’s time for another ScrapMuch? Sketch-y Friday Team A reveal!
Today I’m sharing a layout that features the super hot Simple Stories I Am line. When I saw the reveal on this line I couldn’t wait to play with it and I was super thankful to find a bunch of it at ScrapMuch?! I know I probably shouldn’t be adding to my stash but this was so so so worth it (and I only bought a little bit!)!
This post comes with a bit of a warning, it’s not just about a layout. It’s about me. It’s about sharing. It’s about real life and being true.
So here is my layout:
Supplies used: Patterned Paper – Simple Stories; Wood Veneer – Simple Stories; Ink – Tim Holtz Distress; Sequins – Teresa Collins; Punch – Teresa Collins for Fiskars; Washi – Gift from a friend! (Thank you Eileen!)
The picture is a selfie from an absolute moment of zen and relaxation. I snapped it on my mid-winter escape to Vegas when I was lying on a beach chair in the warm sun and finally able to just relax from all the stresses and emotional events that preceded that trip. I was So. Happy. The squares on the side truly are perfectly me – feeling happy, feeling blessed, and there’s tons of photographic evidence of me being happy in the sun.
I fussy cut the feathers from some of the other pages, as well as the flower. I used the black and white striped paper in the corner after I cut my pennant, just because I liked how it looked up there.
I used that great portion of word paper and intentionally left some parts visible.
I am enjoying the journey.
I am here.
I am going places.
I am on a journey.
I am loving.
I am enough.
I am beautiful.
I really struggle with the last two. “I am enough” was a mantra I was learning and starting to believe when I was routinely doing yoga with time spent on pranayama. It was finally quieting the voices of inadequacy that rambled in my head. My final thoughts on “I am beautiful” are far too heady for this post and for right now, but suffice to say it’s something I hope to feel and believe, truly believe, in my lifetime. That is a universal woman sentiment. We all want to feel beautiful.
On that fun note! Here is the sketch we had to work with this week:
