Happy almost mid-December! I’ve got a short and sweet ScrapMuch? Sketch-y Friday reveal for you today! My uber busy weeks of work are over, and I’ve kept busy at home this week trying to get caught up, as well as playing nursemaid and warden to Matisse (who had to be confined to restrict her movement) after her surgery last week. I’m happy to report her stitches are out and she’s on the mend, and now I’m sick in bed. Figures.
I digress… Here is the sketch we had to work with this week:
I flipped the sketch by 90 degrees because it just worked better with my pictures (and I seldom do a title on a vertical like that).
Here is my take on the sketch:
Everything in the layout except for the stamp in the lower right, and the cardstock, are all Simple Stories 24/7. The cardstock is Close To My Heart, and the stamp is American Crafts Dear Lizzy. I used lots of stickers from the sticker sheets in the paper pack to add fun accents all over the page. For a change I didn’t mist this page, nor did I use sequins, no ribbon, nor any inking. Needless to say it’s a bit of a departure, and I still love the end result!
Again, this line is totally perfect for my few work layouts because my job is 24/7/365. It’s also fun to look back on days at work and see how much things have changed in such a short time. Fun times, good memories, this is what life is all about.
So now it’s your turn of course! Pop on over to the ScrapMuch? blog to see what the rest of the team has created. Little hint? I’m a bit of an iconoclast again. I’m good with that!
Make sure you link up and share your work with us for the chance to win an awesome ScrapMuch? prize! There’s also a colour challenge posted and the palette is AMAZING!
Here is a run down of our Sketch-y Friday rules. Just link up your creations in our sidebar to be entered into a random draw for our monthly prize. You have until December 29th, at midnight to participate in any of December’s sketch challenges, each linkup tool will remain open until that date!
If you are playing along with more than one challenge you will need to link each of them up via a separate blog post for the link up tool to work. (International participants may be required to pay some shipping fees.) Good luck, we cannot wait to see what you create!
*note – If you are playing along using Flickr the team will no longer be leaving comments, due to changes in Flickr policies and passwords. However, we will be checking out your entries for sure and you are definitely eligible for the prize draw. Our apologies for any inconvenience this may cause.
Have a fabulous weekend! Thanks for popping by!
