I totally forgot that I didn’t post about the workshop I took at Two Peas in a Bucket called Scrapbooking From The Soul. I signed up for it as I’ve identified journaling as a weakness of mine. I seem to easily blog, or write in a journal, but when it comes to journaling for a scrapbook layout I get stuck. I loved the approach that Jill Sprott takes to journaling and building her layouts around that and used the workshop while I worked through the first two weeks of Lets Get Sketchy August sketch challenges. I’ve left the journaling out of the pictures because it is pretty personal. I’m looking forward to building more layouts around the journaling and really telling the story of the picture, the moment, why it was important, what I want to remember and even more thoughts beyond.

The paper is all Teresa Collins Tell Your Story and Fabrications, embellies are also Teresa Collins Tell Your Story and the lettering is American Crafts thickers.
August Week 2:
And my take on the sketch:
I reduced this to an 8×8 layout and I’ll be putting these into a mini album called “Unwritten” that I started at Creative Escape many years ago. I’m happy to finally get to use the mini album now that it has a new purpose. The papers, button, stickers, stamp, journaling card are all from Teresa Collins Tell Your Story, the remember is from Pink Paislee Portfolio, the flowers and brad are from Prima, the rhinestone is from Kaisercraft, the cardstock and ink are Stampin’ UP!
Sounds like a class I should take. I really like both layouts and can I say you look AWSOME is that dress. Really beautiful 🙂
