I was supposed to go visit my dear friend and her 6 day old baby girl today. Unfortunately, they were having a bit of a hectic day, as understandably happens, so I found myself with some unexpected free time today. My last few free days off I’ve been spending in my garden, but today I opted to take a bit of a break from weeding and planting (only 2 beds left to go!) to craft. The girlfriend I was supposed to visit is co-owner of a mostly online LSS that also hosts crops almost monthly, and 2 retreats a year. They’ve started some sketch challenges on their blog so I figured I may as well jump in and play. I found a few sketches that were within my simple, clean style and went with it. Feel free to check them out at ScrapMuch?
Once I got rolling I really didn’t want to stop. I’m using up all sorts of embellies, papers and photos from my stash, and actually running low on some adhesives. This is actually great news since I didn’t have any crafting chutzpah for so long. So, without further adieu, here are some of the layouts I managed to complete today, as well as some cards I’ve created.

It’s easy to see so much of what I used was from my stash when you read through the company names and see they no longer exist, or are restructuring. It’s sad, really. The upside – I have a lot of now “vintage” awesomeness in my stash that I’m finally using and not hoarding anymore. I tend to hoard things I like because I don’t want to “ruin” it. I hope I’m not the only scrapbooker that does this!
Thanks for popping by!
